Dave Wood Memorial Match Postponed


The Dave Wood Memorial Match to be held at Readers on Sunday 12 July is POSTPONED until a later date.

Th current weather, has raised water temperatures and lowered oxygen levels. The match would have required the use of keepnets and this has a potentially significant impact on fish welfare.

The lake will be open as usual tomorrow and a full water analysis will be undertaken during the morning.

Members are reminded of the following guidelines and important rules if you intend to fish during the current hot weather.

1 Take water with you and keep hydrated
2. Use sunscreen
3 NO KEEPNETS are to be used
4. If possible unhook fish in the landing net and release immediately
5. NO braid line or hooklengths
6. NO barbed or micro-barbed hooks
7. NO BOILIES. These contribute to deoxygenating the water.
8. Do not discard any line and take your rubbish home with you.
